was
initially
raised
by
his
mother
after
his
father
died.
However,
when
his
mother
remarried,
his
new
stepfather
refused
to
accept
him,
leading
to
emotional
neglect
and
mistreatment
and
abuse
of
both
hima
and
his
mother.
The
step
father
eventually
left,
leaving behind Dickson and his younger sister.
Noticing
Dickson’s
painful
situation,
a
servant
a
local
pastor
named
Mr.
Peter
stepped
in
and
sought
help
at
the
Shinyanga’s
District
social
welfares
who
reached
out
to
Bethany
to
ask
for
a
place
for
Dickson.
Today,
Dickson
has
fully
adjusted
to
his
new
environment
and
is
happily
enjoying
life.
He
goes
to
school
alongside
his
friends
and
is
building
a
hopeful
future.
