Current Status: Joined Bethany at the age 3 Irene   is   a   sweet   girl   who   came   to   Bethany   when   she   was   only   3   years   old.   She   and   her brother,   Thomas,   were   living   with   their   grandmother   who   was   too   old   to   care   for   them.   They did    not    have    enough    food    and    other    basic    needs.        Emmakulatha,    our    Bethany    school headteacher,   saw   their   need   and   asked   if   they   could   be   looked   after   at   Bethany.   Irene   is   very close   to   her   brother   Thomas   and   enjoys   to   play   with   him   at   the   playground.      Since   coming   to Bethany, Irene has become very healthy and cheerful.
