Thomas
is
a
caring
boy
who
has
a
very
strong
bond
with
his
little
sister,
Irene.
Before
they
came
to
Bethany
Family,
their
life
was
very
difficult.
Their
parents
left
them,
and
they
had
to
live
with
their
very
old
grandmother.
Because
she
was
so
old,
she
could
not
find
food
or
take
care
of
them
properly.
When
our
headteacher
Emmakulatha,
visited
their
home,
she
saw
how
much
they
were
struggling.
She
knew
they
needed
a
safe
place
to
grow.
Thomas,
being
the
big
brother,
always
looks
after
Irene.
He
is
very
happy
now
because
he
can
go
to
school
and
play,
knowing
that
he
and
his sister are safe.
