Before   joining   The   Bethany   Family,   Upendo’s   life   was   very   difficult.   Her   father   had   been   very   sick with   kidney   and   liver   problems   for   a   long   time.   Due   to   this,   the   family   could   not   get   enough   food   or basic   needs.   Our   Social   Welfare   Officer,   Mr.   Adonias   Malima,   visited   their   home   and   saw   how much   they   were   struggling   and   asked   if   Upendo   and   her   little   brother   Eliah   could   be   looked   after   at Bethany.      Today,   Upendo   is   doing   great!   She   is   very   close   friends   with   a   girl   named   Neema.   They love   to   play   and   sing   together   every   day.   Upendo   is   now   safe,   healthy,   and   starting   to   learn   at school.
